SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan) lets you withdraw a fixed amount every month from your investment. Enter the initial amount, monthly withdrawal, expected return, and tenure. The calculator shows the balance remaining at the end and total interest earned.
Each month we apply the monthly return to the opening balance and then subtract the withdrawal to get the closing balance. If the withdrawal is too high relative to the return, the balance can reach zero before the end of the tenure.
What is SWP?
SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan) is when you withdraw a fixed amount at regular intervals from an investment (e.g. mutual fund). It is often used in retirement to get a regular income.
What if my balance reaches zero?
The calculator shows the month when the balance reaches zero (if it does). You may need to lower the withdrawal amount or assume a higher return.
Is the return guaranteed?
No. Actual returns will vary. Use this as an indicative plan.
